☀️ Weather & Cancellation Policy
At Locked in Lacrosse, the safety of our players comes first—especially during extreme weather conditions such as high heat, extreme cold, thunderstorms, or other dangerous environments.
⚠️ Heat & Weather Guidelines:
Sessions may be shortened or canceled if temperatures exceed safe levels (heat index over 100°F).
On extreme heat days, we will adjust schedules to earlier hours, include mandatory water breaks every 15–20 minutes, reduce activity intensity, and utilize shaded areas as much as possible.
We monitor the heat index and forecast regularly and will notify families of any adjustments via email and/or text at least 2 hours before scheduled start time.
🧊 Cold Weather Guidelines
Training sessions will proceed in cold weather as long as field conditions are safe and dry.
We follow a general rule: if the “feels like” temperature is below 25°F, we may shorten or cancel the session based on wind chill, precipitation, and sunlight.
All players should come properly dressed in layers, with gloves, hats, and sweat-wicking base layers when appropriate.
We focus on keeping players constantly moving and will avoid prolonged standing drills during colder sessions.
🌧 Rain, Thunder, and Field Closures:
In case of thunderstorms or unsafe field conditions, we will cancel or delay training as early as possible.
If lightning is observed, all activity will be suspended until 30 minutes after the last strike.
Field closures due to weather are at the discretion of the township or facility.
❌ Cancellations & Refunds:
All cancellations or updates will be shared via email and/or text, no later than 2 hours before the scheduled start time when possible.
We do not offer refunds for sessions canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g. “Acts of God”). We will offer training credits toward future Locked In Lacrosse events.
We aim to reschedule whenever possible, but make-up sessions are not guaranteed.
In cases of full event cancellation (e.g. multiple days of camp lost), we will explore credit options for future training events, or a refund for those who request it. Participants will receive a 100% refund of program costs minus the website fee associated with accepting credit cards if a program is canceled in the beginning.
